Taking a seat in the TARDIS, you release an overwhelmed sigh. Everything you’ve learned in such a short time - the existence of time travel, of other planets and species you never even dreamed could exist, and all of it at the fingertips of this strange, gangly man - has contradicted so much you formerly believed.

You can sense the look of disappointment on his face as his hands dance across the console, pulling levers and hitting switches left and right. It’s much like seeing a child that’s been denied sweets, really. As much as you hate to leave so soon, after seeing only so little and yet so much, you’ve got more important affairs to take care of.

Weeping Angels. The name sounds poetic, but if what you’ve heard is true (and you’re ready to believe it all at this point), they’re anything but. You ask about them again.

With a final pulling of a lever, everything lurches and the Doctor turns to you with a slight frown. He explains to you that the Angels want the energy from the TARDIS to live off of, to harvest and exploit. It’s all very complicated business, and he’s had a run-in with them before.

He looks at you, perplexed, and says he doesn’t quite understand their obsession with continuously sending you back in time - normally they’re done after one go - but he assures you that Torchwood and himself especially will be keeping a close eye on you and your family.

> Make a rash decision. This is the biggest choice of your life. Do you go with the man and traverse this strange new planet, or do you decide that you want to go home and see if your family is alright?

Reality hits you and takes you for a crash landing.

Yes, this planet is beautiful, but you still have your family to worry about back home.

“Take me back home.” you demand, your voice wavering a little.

The Doctor looks at you with dejection. You talk again before he can get a word out.

“If those things that sent me to 1800 or whatever are still back home, then my family is in trouble. Didn’t Torchwood call you because it was out of their control in the first place?”

“Well yes, bu-“

“Then stop stalling and take me back home!”

The Doctor obviously doesn’t like taking orders, but he sees your point. He leads you back to the TARDIS, taking his place back at the controls.

Next stop: London, June 2nd, 2012.

I’m really very surprised by all of you who have enjoyed reading/participating in TQ! And first off, I would like to say thank you! Without you, there wouldn’t be anything! Thank you all for being so amazing!

Secondly! It has come to my attention that we’re approaching almost 100 followers!

For such an occasion, we would LOVE to do something very VERY special!

We would love to create a voiced comic video!

But here’s the thing:

We’re in need of a Doctor voice actor!

It’s still a bit early, but I feel if the casting call is held now, Kam, Alex and I will be able to put everything together in time for a 100th follower special.

If you’d like to audition:

Pick your favorite 11th Doctor line, any is fine! (If it’s short, feel free to pick more than one. Anything to help us get a feel for your voice acting skills)

“Do you know of the aurora borealis?” The Doctor asks you.

“Of course,” you reply. “aren’t they caused by solar flares?”

“Sometimes. Other times they are created by the Luxiatorum, light beings that make their home here on Terramirum. Now, those bulb trees over there?” he points to a bulbous plant that emits a brilliant yellow, practically golden light. “Those are their homes.” He smiles and walks over to one, beckoning you over. “Touch it, see what happens.” he encourages you, still beaming.

You lightly touch the bulb and your hand begins to glow. The Doctor laughs as he does the same.

“What’s happening?” you hold your hand out as far as you can.

“They’re identifying us. Judging our intentions.” The lights turn a beautiful lavender and begin flying around your head. “And it looks like we passed.”

“So those things make the northern lights?” You ask, watching as a large group of the Lexiatorum fly above in various beautiful shades.

“They love traveling to Earth and showing off. They don’t really mind that you all think it’s something else, either. They’d prefer it that way, actually. They’re so very delicate.” He explains.

You see a tiny blue police box.

A tiny blue police box you just spent what felt like hours navigating through.

Your jaw drops and you can’t seem to find the words. You examine the box from every angle, and then inside again.

The Doctor watches you frantically try to figure out what is even happening with the TARDIS.

“Dimensionally transcendental.” He pats the box lovingly. “Bigger on the inside. Cool, huh?”

You’re nearly blinded by what you see.

Bright colors flooding into your vision and your breath is literally taken away.

Without a doubt, this is some sort of alien planet. The smell is like nothing you’ve ever smelt before, the colors and hues only seen in dreams, and a rush of excitement that fills you from head to toe.

How is this even possible?

this is more of a meta suggestion. could you link to the next post in order? as in, 1 links to 2 links to 3 etc.? it's kind of difficult to read the whole adventure from the beginning as things stand right now.

The man gives a tug on his suspenders and introduces himself as the Doctor. And, well, he’s a time traveler. He tells you he’s from a planet called Gallifrey, where a race known as Time Lords live. He says he’s over a thousand Earth years old.

He recognizes your disbelief and gestures around himself. If you need proof, you’re in all of the proof you’ll need.

He tells you not to worry. If anything were to come up concerning anything about your life, Torchwood would be able to handle it and keep your family and friends safe. Angels have been known to go after those close to their victims, but he puts full faith in Torchwood to take care of matters.

You curse yourself. You know how people can be, you can be walking right into a trap!

You harden again and demand to know where you are.

He turns about, smiling. He tells you you’re in the TARDIS, Time And Relative Dimension In Space. A time machine in all regards. He looks to you for praise, or at least some sort of reaction.

You try to stay as firm as you can. But, you gotta admit, if this guy is speaking the truth, a time machine would be pretty neat.

Torchwood is a Cardiff-based organization that specializes in extraterrestrial threats, he explains. They keep a close eye over happenings on Earth, your present day. However, when they’re out of their league, they contact him, to help out.

They were watching over you to save your life. On multiple occasions, the angels had been following you trying to strike. Torchwood had intervened and saved you on multiple occasions.

"Special? I'm just a regular kid attending uni. What would they want from me?"

He cocks his head back, smiling a particular smile. Perhaps, he ponders, you have some untapped potential lurking somewhere in your being.

You look down at yourself. He’s crazy. All that’s special about you is that you can run a little bit faster than others. Even then, that’s just “above normal”, not special in the least. You frown.

He’s met a great deal of people, he tells you, nostalgia in every corner of his face. All were great, each and every one of them. And they all thought they were “regular”. You can hear his respect and pride in whoever had met him before you. All of them were special, and so are you.

He looks at you with what looks like immense hope and trust.

And, just maybe, you’re beginning to trust him, too.

Ask him if you were transported back in time by the angels.

He did find you in a London factory in 1803.

It was odd, he tells you. Usually, they’d kick their victim back and stop there. But they followed you back and were ready to send you back further. Apparently you’re very special, indeed.
